Clay Mugs and Cups

The Pottery Studio

Pottery and Floristry actually go together really well. I am often making vases, jugs or bowls to put fresh flowers into. I make all my pieces entirely by hand either on a potters wheel or with slab construction. It depends on the pot I want to make! All my pots start life as a humble chunk of clay. Each piece takes a week or more to dry and is put in the kiln twice - once to bisque and once to glaze. The entire process from start to finish takes around a month. Next time you see a handmade pot, you know that a lot of care and effort went into it!

My work is available for purchase in the giftstore at Sabados Greenhouse.
